Once the new threads have been installed, we finish the whole staircase including risers, strings, posts, and handrails to the desired shade of stain and finishing matching the rest of your floors for a seamless blend and look.
We also finish worn out and discolored stair threads, posts, and handrails, including white-washing the risers and strings.
Note: Jr Hardwood only stains recently installed risers and stringers, and risers and stringers that have not been previously stained. Our crew does not also stain previously stained pickets.
Risers and stringers that have been previously stained cannot return to their natural color, or be stained a second time, therefore our crew members can stain risers and stringers a second time ONLY IF a darker shade of stain is use
Otherwise, we can only offer white-washing risers and stringers after a second time.
